Led by Monte Belmonte of New England Public Media\, Congressman Jim McGovern\, and Food Bank Chief Executive Officer Andrew Morehouse\, marchers walk 46 miles over two days from Springfield to Greenfield to raise funds and awareness for the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. \n  \nFor the 17th Annual March for the Food Bank\, our goal is to raise $800\,000 –\nthe equivalent of 2\,400\,000 meals!\n \nWestern Mass communities are encouraged to donate by phone or online while Monte and the marchers make their way across three counties. Both WRSI – The River and New England Public Media will be airing special programming about food insecurity and hunger leading up to and during the days of the March for the Food Bank.

DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, November 21\, 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.\n\nHot Plate Brewing Co.\, 1 School St\, Pittsfield\, MA 01201\nJoin Monte Belmonte and Food Bank supporters in downtown Pittsfield for the Berkshire Mini-March\, a 3-mile walk beginning and ending at Hot Plate Brewing. Stay at Hot Plate from 12-1:30 p.m. for an after-party with beverages\, lunch\, and live music. \nAlong the way\, participants will visit local Food Bank member pantries\, including First United Methodist Church Food Pantry and the Berkshire Dream Center. The final stop is the Pittsfield Community Pantry. \nThe Berkshire Mini-March is part of the 17th Annual March for the Food Bank\, a 46-mile journey from Springfield to Greenfield happening over two days on Monday\, November 23rd and Tuesday\, November 24th that raises critical funds to provide nourishing food to individuals across all four counties. With a goal of $800\,000\, we invite you to join us in Pittsfield and take steps to end hunger in Western Massachusetts.

The Transition Resource Fair is designed to help students and families explore opportunities\, gather valuable resources\, and gain the information needed to plan for the future. \nThis event offers a unique chance to learn about available supports and services\, and build relationships with professionals who can assist throughout the transition journey.
