Our annual fundraiser brings hunger directly in front of the public and refusing to let it be ignored. Led by Monte Belmonte of New England Public Media, Congressman Jim McGovern, and Food Bank Chief Executive Officer Andrew Morehouse, marchers walk 46 miles over two days from Springfield to Greenfield to raise funds and awareness for the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.

For the 17th Annual March for the Food Bank, our goal is to raise $800,000 –
the equivalent of 2,400,000 meals!

Western Mass communities are encouraged to donate by phone or online while Monte and the marchers make their way across three counties. Both WRSI – The River and New England Public Media will be airing special programming about food insecurity and hunger leading up to and during the days of the March for the Food Bank.
